Quality, Health & Safety Management: Develop Quality, Health and safety (QHSE) Management plans, Policies and Procedures and oversee implementation of the same. Achieved certification to the Medical Devices Directorate (MMD) UK Quality Management standards through adoption and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices, stringent testing methodologies and compliance to Medical Devices Validation standards of a Disposable Syringe Manufacturing Co. The Factory Produced 5cc and 10cc Syringes. The Plant used Injection Moulding machines manufactured by Sumitomo, Automated syringe barrel printing and needle assembly and LDPE wrapping for syringes and Ethylene Oxide sterilization Process. The Integrity of the Sterilization process was initially tested with IBM standard Bacteriological spores and device but later adapted the European guidelines after the audit by the UK Medical Devices Directorate.
Duties & responsibilities: Maintenance of Plant and Machinery including Injection Moulding Machines and Class 10000 clean rooms of a Disposable Syringe Manufacturing Plant. Documentation of General and Specific procedures based on ISO 9002:1987 and the special requirements of the Medical Devices Directorate (MDD) UK. Supervising a team of 8 specialist maintenance crew on a 24/6 basis.
1987-1989 Thermon Heat Tracers Ltd., India Project Engineer
Successfully installed, tested, commissioned and maintained Electric Heat Tracing projects inside Madras Refineries India, Reliance Petro-chemicals, India.
Developed detailed design drawings for Electric Heat Tracing of LSHS Lines at the Poly-propylene cracker unit project at Indian Petrochemicals, India.
