Summary |
Managed Industrial Services Division of major UK Service Company, servicing Shipyards, Oil Refineries, Power Stations and Process Plants Internationally.
Instrumental in setting up overseas operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & Singapore also managing Joint Venture Operations in France & Singapore.
Responsible for operations and fiscal management, HR & client negotiations.

Extensive dry-dock experience with VLCCs in specialized tank and hull coatings.
Responsible for green-field oil supply bases in Malaysia & China, also Managed Supply Bases in Brunei, Malaysia, Namibia & China.

Managed Offshore Vessel Operations in Brunei, Malaysia, UAE and West Africa.

Project Engineering for Brunei LNG based in Holland for Interbeton FEED, responsible for writing 42 extensive Method statements for the Fabrication and installation of LNG Jetty topsides and gas lines. Acted as interface with discipline engineers carrying out design reviews and drawings for “AFC” for fabricators based in Holland, UK & Singapore. All drawings in Metric & Imperial measurements.
Spent 2 years as Project manager for major UK Company in Spain, Holland & Aberdeen managing the conversion of a VLCC to an FSU for use in North Sea production. Full Punch-listing of all deficiencies and non conformances, liaison with classification society, Shipyards and Main Contractors to ensure conversion was in accordance with statutory requirements for offshore operations, followed on to installation and finally closeout with full documentary back-up/ certification. Responsible for multi discipline teams of engineers to ensure compliance.
Based in Caracas, Venezuela, managed UK Oilfield Logistics Company involved in offshore support in Lake Maracaibo and onshore Orinoco.
Specialised projects included “Land-Farming” of waste drilling material and investigations into disposal of offshore drilling waste including “Heavy Metals”
Supported operations in Equador and Peru with technical data and personnel as required.
Over the past 30 years been instrumental in setting up new operations, developing existing operations, closing down non -viable units, FEED projects, Tendering, Tender evaluations, equipment reviews and renewals, HR, Fiscal Management, Client interface and many aspects of Construction/ Engineering projects.
