PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Ecological survey of Coral reef:

Under the various sponsored projects ecological survey of coral reef (Goose reef, Narara Bet, Kalubhar reef, Munde reef, Siri reef, Pirotan island, Jhindra Bet, Bedi, Sikka) and mapping of coral as well as translocation and monitoring of coral has been under taken in detail. Mapping and ecological survey of coral and associated flora and fauna of the Jebel Ali Marine Protected areas.

Ecological survey of mangrove habitats:

Under the various sponsored projects, a detailed ecological survey of Mangrove habitats at Jakhau, mangrove reserve forest of Kori creek, Mandvi, Mundra, Luni, Kandla, Navlakhi, Bedi, Sikka, Vadinar, Okha, Jafarabad, Pipavav, Bhavnagar, Dahej, Hazira, several locations around Mumbai and Bassein and at several rivers and estuaries in Raigad district as well as The reserve mangrove forest of Pitchvaram (Tamilnadu coast) and Coringa reserve forest at Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) has been conducted. Ecological survey of mangroves of the Ras Al Khor marine sanctuary at Dubai, UAE.

Intertidal survey:

Under various sponsored projects, various types of intertidal habitats (rocky, sandy, muddy, mangrove vegetated, coral reef) has been conducted all along the northwestern and central and southeastern coast of India. Surveyed intertidal areas for floral and faunal assemblage all along the Dubai coast, UAE.
