Our Client, an international design & project services company, with a recognised global reputation providing professional services to the energy, resource & complex process industries, requires a Mechanical Engineer to work on Static Equipment involved in a major Gas Pipeline Project based in Perth Western Australia.

Candidates should have an Engineering degree (or equivalent) & have relevant industry experience
With sound technical knowledge of the mechanical discipline
‘Hands on’ experience in a construction or operating plant environment would be an advantage.
Role will involve
Performing duties requiring the application of mature professional engineering knowledge & dealing with problems where it is necessary to modify established guides & devise new approaches.
Coordination of specified tasks within the mechanical engineering discipline & across other disciplines within the project.
Ensure highest quality design, while managing & contributing to the mechanical engineering discipline, in the execution of a project.
Innovative in design work with regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity.
To ensure work carried out conforms with agreed codes & practices, meets all requirements of the contracts specification & ensure work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets & procedures.
Engineer design work in line with the QA manual & Company procedures.
Specification of static equipment, (Heavy wall, clad & alloy pressure vessels, filters, coolers & towers etc) including detail design in collaboration with designers/static equipment package vendors.
Duties will include equipment selection & specification, detailed design in collaboration with designers & bid evaluation/vendor document review & approval.
Make original contribution or apply new professional engineering approaches & techniques to the design or development of equipment or special aspects of products, facilities & buildings.
Preparation of Scope of Work Documentation.
Preparation of proposals & estimation of manhour budgets.
Promote cost reduction & productivity enhancing initiatives.
