ROLE - Reporting to the Senior or Lead Designer, to produce & check drawings & lists
Maintain project files.
Liaise with other disciplines to develop design.
Production of conceptual layouts & surveys.
Production of design drawings.
Self Checking of design drawings.
Production of MTO’s.
Self Checking of MTO’s.
Working to a given schedule, working to & using the company management system.
Compliance to company, client, local & international standards as given in the project PEP.
Working within the provisions & guidelines of the relevant Quality Assurance system.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or relevant certificate from approved education establishment (or equivalent).
Excellent 2D computer design skills with AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
Skills with MS Excel, MS Word & MS Access.
Able to interpret technical drawings.
To create accurate design drawings from base project information.
Establish & manage effective workplace relationships.
Ability to interact effectively with others using clear, fluent verbal & written English language to convey information & ideas.
Knowledge of the requirements for electrical installations within hazardous areas.
Self motivated inventive design skills, Drafting, Layout & Graphical Skills.
Minimum of 3 years relevant drafting experience.
Competent in Conceptual Design, Drawing Production, Mathematics, Computing, Graphical Presentation,
Desirable (not essential) some experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS, PDMS or AutoPlant. and/or some experience with advanced engineering design & data systems such as SmartPlant Electrical. Exposure to site surveys, construction or commissioning support on O&G facilities. Trade experience would be an advantage
