IMMEDIATE NEED in the Seattle WA area for a Senior Staff Engineer who has a minimum of 5 years work experience in any of the following areas: leading RandD or engineering group product marketing or product management licensing operations including patent filing and / or licensing support and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering MS of PhD is preferred). You MUST BRING a thorough understanding of Inkjet and Laser printing technologies print head technologies cartridges and toner systems paper feed mechanism various scanner system technologies scanner drive light source image processing image sensing and fax systems focused on consumer electronics and computer hardware. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: managing / conducting reverse engineering efforts; provide strategic priorities and direction for the development and expansion of the portfolio through both patent mining and patent acquisitions; identify key patents and technologies and enhance them further in working closely with in-house counsel; review and conduct patent valuations based on market data patent quality added value to current portfolio; support licensing programs. Having patent experience will be a big plus in this position. Your compensation will commensurate with your expertise. Bonus participation based on your performance is available. Relocation assistance may be available for the right person.
