Job Description

Manufacturing client in southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 3D design experience. MUST have a BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering and 2 to 3 years experience with 3D design using Pro/Engineer Wildfire Unigraphics CATIA Solidworks or similar package. This person will create new products by designing tooling designs and manufacturing processes from conception to prototyping to production. This involves surface modeling of products using a variety of materials such as steel titanium aluminum alloys and composites applying engineering theories and concepts to product development troubleshoot design issues prototypes and production issues. Will also use Finite Element Analysis ( FEA ) tools such as ABAQUS to design the products. The ideal candidate will be from the consumer products industries aerospace or defense products and will have a passion for engineering and a talent for translating engineering theory to practical use. Local southern California candidates only will be considered. Excellent benefits are provided including an excellent salary commensurate with skills and experience although the client has requested us not to publish a salary.
