COMMISSIONING ENGINEER WASTE WATER (EMIRATES)
Job description
You are responsible for the set-up, coordination and execution of the technical commissioning and training plan(s) related to waste water and water treatment projects, both for the electrical and mechanical part.
This means:
- Working closely with the Commissioning Manager to coordinate the technical / process interfaces.
- Coordinating the technical matters closely with our Technical Department, the Consultant and the End-user.
- Setting up of an appropriate document system.
- After technical completion, assisting in the field the Commissioning Manager with the proper technical inspection, start-up and trial operation of the various parts of the plant up to the final approval by the Consultant and the End-user.
- Arranging and coordinating the technical training sessions (classroom as well as in the field) in close cooperation with the Construction team.
Your first assignment covers a major biological waste water treatment plant, including extensive sludge dewatering facilities.
You report to the Commissioning Manager
Who we are looking for
You have a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree (or equal through proven experience), by preference specialized in mechanical equipment/piping and a proven experience in the technical start-up, commissioning and operation of waste water treatment plant equipment and sludge dewatering equipment. Relevant experience in the field of potable water/membrane technology is an asset.
You have excellent communication and administration skills.
You are Computer literate (all common software) and safety & quality minded.
A relevant experience in a Middle East project environment is an asset; in any case you are ready to to accept a long term assignment in the United Arab Emirates and to work in a multi-cultural environment.
You have an excellent knowledge of English - speaking as well as writing. Knowledge of a second language - Dutch or French - is an asset.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN WASTE WATER (EMIRATES)
Job description
You are responsible for the on site execution of the Technical Maintenance activities related to the various equipments.
This includes :
- Preventive maintenance: replacement of " wear and tear parts ", changing of oils, re-greasing, re-alignment, etc
- Emergency repair works in case of equipment failure or breakdown
- Providing technical assistance with respect to major equipment overhauls
- Update the Maintenance Project Engineer with basic data covering spare parts requirements, abnormal operational conditions, etc
- Depending on the nature and the extend of the maintenance activities, manage a small team of skilled and unskilled labor
- Work according to good house keeping procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment
You report to the Maintenance Project Engineer.
Who we are looking for
You are a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician with a proven technical hands-on field experience in the technical maintenance of waste water and sludge dewatering equipment including with some or all the following equipments :
Gravity sludge thickening tables, Sludge belt presses, Progressive cavity pumps, Polymer preparation & dosing facilities, Submerged pumps, Automatic valves and penstocks, Secondary sludge clarifier equipment ( scraper bridges, etc ), Fine bubble aeration systems ( membrane systems, centrifugal blowers, etc ), Storage tanks and dosing pumps.
Ideally, you are familiar with the technical basics of low tension panels, electrical wiring and typical instrumentation in the field of waste water treatment and sludge dewatering. Ideally, you also have experience in a Middle East project environment.
In any case you are ready to accept a long term assignment in the United Arab Emirates and to work in a multi-cultural environment. You are safety & quality minded.
You have a good knowledge of technical English - speaking as well as reading. Basic skills in writing are required.
