Fluor Australia Pty Ltd is part of the world’s largest, publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services organisation. The scope of work in the expanding Melbourne office includes studies, basic and detailed engineering, commissioning and start-up assistance.
We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified engineer/metallurgist with significant years of experience and currently in a lead or management role. Your background combines operations, design engineering and commissioning of mineral and metallurgical processing plants.
Reporting to the Director, Process Engineering, the successful candidate will be a high achiever, preferably with an honours degree in chemical or metallurgical engineering and be experienced in the design of mineral processing and metallurgical processing plants. Your key design document experience will include mass and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophy and data sheets. The use of metallurgical process simulation packages and an in depth experience in at least one of hydrometallurgical processes, concentrators, or pyrometallurgy would be an advantage.
You will be a hands on manager with well developed communication and interpersonal skills, be accustomed to using your own initiative and feel completely at ease managing a team of professional process engineers.
