Exciting overseas nickel project has an immediate requirement for an experienced Electrical and Control Engineer to join their commissioning team. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Lead I & C Engineer to coordinate and perform electrical and control system functions testing and commissioning activities. Other responsibilities will include:
- Participate in commissioning activities as the electrical/control system resource within the commissioning team.
- Be involved in all stages of commissioning to ensure the plant operates according to the definition provided by the functional description and design documents.
- Assist with implementation of configuration change control procesures and ensure that these procedures are strictly followed.
- Modify PCS configuration and documentation as requirements are identified during the commissioning process and in accordance with the change control procedures.
- Supervise others in the commissioning team to meet overall objectives.
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- Large project experience preferably within the Mining and Minerals industry.
- Experience in the configuration and testing of large process control systems.
- Participation in the PCS configuration and testing during the engineering phase of the Project.
