On offer to you is a residential role in Central Queensland where you will be overseeing the Drill and Blast activities on an open cut operation. This challenging position will involve the following responsibilities: - Designing and generating drill and blast plans
- Implementing innovative improvements in drill and blast performance in the areas of safety, cost-effectiveness and productivity.
- Quality Assurance on drilling and charging functions
- Recording forecasts and preparing reports
To be successful in this position we require you to have: - Tertiary qualifications in mining/civil engineering
- 3-5 years Australian experience on an open cut coal operation
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the practical use of production drills and blasting techniques
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of mining software packages
