This is an outstanding opportunity to join New Zealand Steel as its Mining Manager. This is a unique opportunity to bring your skills and experience from overseas into beautiful New Zealand. New Zealand Steel is a BlueScope Steel company operating fully integrated steelmaking and ironsand export businesses at two separate locations south of Auckland on New Zealand's North Island. As the Manager for these mining operations you'll demonstrate leadership and continuous improvement in safety, throughput and valued creation. You and your teams will be responsible for mine planning and all other management processes and operations to ensure the most efficient short term and optimum long term husbandry of the ironsand resources. To deliver these outcomes you'll have mining (or other related) qualifications and certificates along with extensive knowledge and experience in mining and mine management. Your experience will demonstrate an ability to understand and respond to environmental and cultural issues relating to your responsibilities as well as an ability to think and plan strategically at a business level.
